Large Imperial screen, for a table, with panel in black varnish, decorated with inserts in hard stones, jade, ivory, and porcelain, modeled and sculpted to comprise objects of every-day life according to the Confucian philosophy of the order of things. The panel is inserted into a frame of violet ebony, the support bases are finely carved and engraved. China, Quing dynasty, mid-eighteenth century.

Grande paravento Imperiale da tavolo a pannello laccato nero, decorato con inserti m piètre dure, giada, avorio e porcellana, modellati e scolpiti a comporre gli oggetti della quotidianità secondo la filosofia confuciana dell'ordine delle cose. Il pannello è inserito in una cornice di ebano viola, le basi di appoggio sono finemente traforate e intagliate. Cina, dinastia Qing, metà sec. XVIII.

Rare Sinkiang carpet, originating from Turfan. The design presents six vases, with stylized flowers, arranged in order of color with respect to the Confucian philosophy – red, pink, and green. Three-border edge. Wool on cotton framework, knotted by hand, traces of restoration. End of the nineteenth century.

Raro tappeto del Sinkiang, proveniente da Turfan. Il disegno presenta sei vasi, con fiori stilizzati disposti con ordine nel rispetto della filosofia confuciana, colori rosso, rosa e verde. Bordura a tre cornici. Vello in lana, trama in cotone, annodato a mono, tracce di restauro. Fine sec. XIX.

Rare sculptural group in a unique block of veined, opalescent white jade, sculpted in high relief, depicts a landscape inspired by the spectacular temples located in the Yungang grottoes (in the province of Shanxi), a monumental complex of more than fifty temples extracted from the inside of Mount Wuzhon, datable between 460 AD and the sixth century. China, Quing dynasty, nineteenth century.

Raro gruppo scultoreo in un unico blocco in gioda bianca venata opalescente, scolpita in altorilievo, raffigara un paesaggio ispirato agli spettacolari templi siti nelle grotte di Yungang (nella provincia dello Shanxi), complesso monumentale di oltre cinquanta templi ricavati all'interno del monte Wuzhon, databili tra il 460 d.C. ed il VI secolo. Cina dinastia Qing, sec, XIX.
